Using Zenysis’ technology to identify zero dose children and produce the most accurate count of unvaccinated children to date.

Polio persists among unvaccinated children in Karachi, Pakistan. Vaccinating them is key to eradicating polio worldwide. But these “zero-dose” children often have no identity records, or multiple records scattered across several agencies. Many also live in informal settlements or mobile communities with no fixed address, making it difficult to pinpoint their location and equip vaccinators to find them. Our partners in Pakistan – the Sindh government and their partners at UNICEF, WHO, BMGF and IRD – are now using Zenysis’ technology to integrate 25 datasets and algorithmically deduplicate 300,000+ child vaccination records to produce the most accurate count of unvaccinated children to date.
